Scholarships

The Ridgway Area High School Alumni Association (Association) Scholarship Fund was established in conjunction with the Elk County Community Foundation ( https://elkcountyfoundation.org/) in 2012.

All donations have been placed in a growth fund managed by the Elk County Community Foundation (ECCF) that have enabled a Ridgway High School Senior to be selected annually to receive a scholarship from the Association. Recently the fund has grown further through the pledge from Dr. and Mrs. Francis Grandinetti.

Member donations, class functions, and memorials, help to maintain this fund.

The role that donors, such as yourself, play in the success of growing this program is very important! As an RHS Alumnus, please consider contributing to expand this funding as an individual and/or on behalf of a former class (e.g., The Class of 1975, etc.).

Donations can be anonymous, in memory of a classmate, family, family member, commemoration of class or in recognition of a special occasion, and so forth.

RHS graduating seniors are encouraged to discuss with the high school staff and apply.

Each year RHS students are encouraged to complete an online application with the Elk County Community Foundation in demonstration of their character, integrity, leadership, community service, etc. The Alumni Organization then reviews and awards scholarships based upon these applications.
